30-day skincare plan for blackheads

A 30-day plan gives blackheads a fair test without turning your bathroom into a lab. Each week has one job.

Week 1: baseline

Scan nose, chin and the centre of the forehead. Cut the routine to BHA cleanser or toner, moisturizer and SPF. Use a 2% BHA on the nose three nights a week and double cleanse after SPF.

Week 2: first active

Introduce salicylic acid on two nights. Keep notes on how skin feels, not just how it looks.

Week 3: steady state

Hold the routine. If skin is comfortable, add one night of salicylic acid; if not, stay at two. Avoid daily pore strips and squeezing without prep.

Week 4: review

Compare week-one and week-four scans of nose, chin and the centre of the forehead. Decide: keep, adjust or swap in niacinamide.

Remember that four to six weeks of consistent oil-soluble exfoliation; day 30 is a checkpoint.

When blackheads pushes back

Most setbacks are predictable. Here is what to do about each.

Is your blackheads routine actually fair to your skin?

Answer honestly before adding or swapping a product. Most plateaus are explained by one of these.

Frequently asked questions

You may see comfort and early changes; full results usually need four to six weeks of consistent oil-soluble exfoliation.

What if I miss a few days?
