30-day skincare plan for dry skin
A 30-day plan gives dry skin a fair test without turning your bathroom into a lab. Each week has one job.
Week 1: baseline
Scan cheeks, around the nose, the jaw and the mouth corners. Cut the routine to cream cleanser, moisturizer and SPF. Move to a cream cleanser and apply moisturizer within a minute of washing.
Week 2: first active
Introduce hyaluronic acid on two nights. Keep notes on how skin feels, not just how it looks.
Week 3: steady state
Hold the routine. If skin is comfortable, add one night of hyaluronic acid; if not, stay at two. Avoid fragrance in high amounts and multiple exfoliants same night.
Week 4: review
Compare week-one and week-four scans of cheeks, around the nose, the jaw and the mouth corners. Decide: keep, adjust or swap in ceramides.
Remember that one to two weeks for tightness to ease, four to six for texture to look smoother; day 30 is a checkpoint.
When dry skin pushes back
Most setbacks are predictable. Here is what to do about each.
Is your dry skin routine actually fair to your skin?
Answer honestly before adding or swapping a product. Most plateaus are explained by one of these.
