Evening skincare routine for combination skin: step by step
Nights are for repair. Follow this 3-step sequence and keep treatment to the nights that suit your skin.
The sequence
gentle cleanse → BHA on T-zone only → cream on dry areas.
Active nights and recovery nights
Use BHA on T-zone only on two or three nights, spaced apart. On the others, cleanse gently and use only barrier cream.
If oily T-zone with dry cheeks flares after an active night, extend the gap to every third night.
Avoid at night
Thick balms all over the face tend to undo evening progress — leave them out for the first month.
One week of combination skin care, planned
Mornings stay identical; evenings alternate between BHA on T-zone only nights and recovery nights.
A quick self-audit
Answer honestly before adding or swapping a product. Most plateaus are explained by one of these.
